It's your choice… scary words for students who are used to being told what to do. Faced with an array of real life decisions for the first time, senior students can do with some practical advice from some one who's been there and done that, someone who's failed and succeeded.

For a high school dropout Julian's done ok. Army sniper, ABC globe trotting cameraman, mountaineer, magician and author. Let him cast his spell over your audience with inspiring stories and practical tips on not letting life's opportunities slip through your fingers. p.s. The students love the mind blowing magic tricks to illustrate his messages.

"I first heard of Julian Mather through a radio interview. He came across as an incredibly passionate individual who had some very firm ideas about developing personal skills in young people to enable them to make better life choices. So we had Julian come and speak with both our Yr 11 and Yr 12 students. Julian spoke to each cohort separately … he modified the language and intent to work in with the two different topics beautifully. More importantly, the students really engaged well with his animated, interactive and anecdotal style of performance. I would thoroughly recommend a visit from Julian to your school."

Tracey Edmonds, Senior PSD Coordinator, Hillbrook Anglican School

Julian covers these general topics but can easily tailor a presentation to your needs.

  • How to recognise opportunity

  • OP1 or not, academic achievement alone does not dictate your destiny

  • Why are some people successful and others not?

  • So you think you're the only one who has fears?

  • How to turn ideas into realities

  • But there aren't enough hours in the day! (I beg to differ)
